Levi’s Do A Body Good!

The last Levi’s shoot that I did was the tenth subject for this project, which is a small, mile stone. I wanted to put together a special post to commemorate the ten guys, but I’ve not had time to work on that yet. I have plenty of material to draw from, it just takes a while to sort it and get it semi-coherent to post here. So in the meantime, here are a couple of images from a follow-up shoot I did with the third guy.

I’ve finally had a chance to go back and select a few more images to share from this waterfront shoot. The gray sky really complimented the denims very nicely and made for great colours all around. This gentleman was a real trooper as I tried to get the last of the light out of the day.

By the time I found a location for yesterday’s shoot the light was fleeting, but I think I still managed to get some good images of this Brooklyn cowboy! Here’s a sneak peek for now and I’ll have some more to post soon.

Alexander McQueen Hearts Levi’s

Ok, well I don’t actually know that for a fact, but why wouldn’t he? I did however enjoy borrowing his store front for part of the shoot that I did with Ken. I certainly enjoyed the juxtaposition, as a huge fan of McQueen’s work and because the store window made such a great backdrop. Ken obviously had a blast with it too and had me in stitches so much that it’s a wonder I was able to get any pictures of him. Here are a few I managed to take between the wise cracks.

Alexander, if you’re reading this and you do wear Levi’s, give us a ring, eh? I’ll take a few snaps for the old blog here. Thanks!

I thought I’d go ahead and post a quick preview from Sunday’s shoot here and follow up later with some more. So I’ve put together a triptych for a sneak peek.

This Sunday’s guy, Eric, is a graphic arist who works at WWD. You can check out his personal site here. He was a breath of fresh air to work with and the perfect guy to kick start this early summer!

Summery Sunday Shoot

This past Sunday I had a great shoot with a fresh faced young graphic designer in Harlem. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to capture his many nuances and I look forward to sharing some with you here soon. Don’t forget, if you’re reading this and you’re a guy in NY who loves his Levi’s, I’m always loking for new subjects for this project. I hope to be able to venture beyond New York once this really takes off, so don’t feel exlcuded if you’re elsewhere, just stay tuned!

Rockin’ Levi’s

Finally I get to post a follow-up for Saturday’s shoot with the rockin’ Paul Alves, of SOUSALVES and Messin with Records.

Paul was so kind as to tell me about his beloved guitar collection and he also gave me some great insight to what’s going on around the neighborhood. One very cool guy who knows how to rock the Levi’s!

Sunny Sunday Follow-up

I’m going against my own grain here today to post images from yesterday’s shoot before posting anything from Saturday’s shoot. Problem is I haven’t had a chance to really sort the images from either shoot, but as I was uploading this set a couple caught my eye, so I set them aside to share, rather than just not post anything. So here are two images from yesterday’s gloriously sunny shoot!

This guy was a real pleasure to work with. He was a total cut up who really had the scoop on getting by in this abysmal financial climate and was also a complete natural in front of the camera.

What a gorgeous day for a photo shoot! So I hiked it over to Ganesvoort and got some great pics of today’s awesome guy. From what I’ve seen, I got some great images, including some of a dazzling smile.This guy was a pleasure to work with and kept me laughing most of the time.
